Thank you for your interest in our Dog Club.
Our members extend a warm invitation to you, your family and friends. We encourage you to attend as many of our general meetings and activities as possible and bring along family members and/or friends.
The purpose of our club is:
- To encourage and promote the RESPONSIBLE breeding of purebred German Shepherd Dogs
- To do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection
- To urge members and breeders to accept the Standard of the Breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only Standard of Excellence by which German Shepherd Dogs shall be judged
- To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the Breed by encouraging sportsman like competition at all dog shows
- To conduct sanctioned and licensed Specialty Shows and Obedience Trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club
Our club is always in need of volunteers to work at our Specialty Show, Match Shows, Temperament Test, and club committees. If you wish to participate in any of these events or on any committees, please let us know. Any help the club receives is needed, and greatly appreciated. All members, especially new members are encouraged to join the fun of working on events and committees. Helping out with these activities increases your knowledge of our breed, how it was developed, and how it is maintained.

GSDC/GNH Breeders Code of Ethics
Signing this document is optional .
In keeping with my dedication to further the betterment of the German Shepherd Dog, I herewith pledge to maintain
the following minimum practices:
- To maintain the best possible standards of health and care in my kennels.
- To refuse to sell to, or recommend, unethical breeders or to sell to any buyer where I have reason to believe the puppy will not be properly cared for.
- To refuse to sell to dog wholesalers or retailers.
- To keep and pass on to buyers of puppies or adult dog’s accurate health, breeding, registration and pedigree records.
Papers may be withheld or a breeder’s right retained by mutual agreement in writing.
- To clearly state on contract to the buyer of a puppy or adult dog whether sale is of “show prospect” or “pet”
quality dog, we would strongly urge that the purchaser spay or neuter the dog.
- To urge all buyers to have a puppy or adult dog sold by me examined by a licensed veterinarian within
48 hours of receipt.
- To deliver or ship only puppies or adult dogs of sound health and temperament. Where the buyer or his
authorized representative did not personally see and choose the puppy or adult dog shipped by me, a period
of 48 hours is granted to return or advise that he will return the animal promptly. Such return shipment is
to be at the buyer’s expense, or as previously agreed.
- To use a sales contact or written agreement to cover any sale or purchase involving a dog is recommended.
